Follicle follies
Oct. 1st, 2007 03:12 pmAfter 20+ years of pretty much the same hairstyle, I decided to grow out my bangs. They are in that horrible awkward stage right now.
On Saturday, in a fit combining both periodness and impatience with my unruly too-long bangs, I pinned them back up over my head and into my snood (and, thanks to Kayleigh McWhyte's help, they stayed there). High foreheads are supposed to be the height of medieval fashion, right?
Many of you out there in LJ land saw me. Many said, "Hey, I didn't recognize you." Some said "Hey, I didn't recognize you. You look good." I think there's supposed to be a full stop between those two sentences, but sometimes I'm not sure.
What thoughts from the peanut gallery on my SCAdian 'do sans bangs? Yes? No? Eh? Dear God No? Since I usually hate the way I look no matter how I look, I'm asking for constructive commentary.

Date: 2007-10-02 09:13 pm (UTC)I'm extremely bad at observing that type of thing.
I remember this friend fro College who was partially bald. Some day he decides to trry and wear a toupee that was covering nicely the (not really small) area. First time I saw him with that my comment was "you've done something to your hair". Apparently it's not the reaction he was expecting :D
So if I don't notice when bald people stop being bald, don't expect me noticing your hair moving around...
