23. Promises in Death by J.D. Robb
24. The Magicians and Mrs. Quent by Galen Beckett (http://fantasybookcritic.blogspot.com/2008/07/magicians-mrs-quent-by-galen-beckett.html) - What if Jane Austen wrote a fantasy novel - it's quite clever, even apart from the conceit of the style and setting. Highly recommended.
25. The Shadow Queen by Anne Bishop - set in her Black Jewels universe. It's adequate. I thought the B plot took up too much time and energy away from the A-plot about the attempt to restore Dena Nehele after Jaenelle's purge.
26. The Bishop's Tale by Margaret Frazer - this is a re-read. It's one of her Sister Frevisse medieval mysteries, set during the reign of Henry VI.
27. The Maiden's Tale by Margaret Frazer - see above, also a re-read
I'm currently halfway through Mistress to the Monarchy by Alison Weir, a biography of Katherine Swynford, the mistress and later wife of John of Gaunt. The book has the strengths and weaknesses of popular history. I'm finding the footnotes more interesting than the books.
