Fencing practice
Feb. 9th, 2006 11:23 pmTwo weeks in a row. One might almost think I am a fencer. I wish we had the site for longer. Just as I am getting really warmed up and ready to roll, it's time to pack it in.
New guy was hitting me with . . . enthusiasm. He assumed I was wearing a plastic chest protector. I don't wear one. The bruises will be very pretty. I suppose I should reconsider investing in one to wear when teaching, but (a) I hate using them as a crutch; pain is incentive to parry; and (b) they didn't used to make them in cup sizes small enough. I think constructing a set of padded armor (such as I used to wear when teaching on a regular basis) will have to do.

But I'm cynical and mean.
