I now have a Kingdom Augmentation of Arms.  East Kingdom law sayeth:

1.     East Kingdom Augmentation of Arms (established April 26, A.S. 37 by Darius and Roxane)

a.      The East Kingdom Augmentation of Arms may be awarded by the Crown to specially honor a person for service to the Kingdom above and beyond the call of duty. Each augmentation is a specific charge at the Crown's discretion, to be added to the individual's heraldic arms. This honor is infrequently granted.

b.      An individual may be recognized in this way no more than once.

c.      All individuals who were previously presented with an augmentation of arms from prior royalty from the East Kingdom are considered to have received this award, the East Kingdom Augmentation of Arms.

d.     The recipients of this award will be entitled to a scroll.

Their Majesties specified no particular charge; I'll probably ask them but it's likely to be left up to me.  I'm looking for ideas that denote Easterness and good heraldic practices for how to incorporate such things into my arms.

I'm planning to submit "and for augmentation, on a canton Or a blue tyger passant." We could start a tradition :)

That's about what I was going to say, though I might have gone for rampant. Good heraldic practice and very Eastern.

I'm actually thinking about using the East's arms on a canton with permission to conflict. Yellow clashes terribly with my arms. ;-)

Can't use the laurel wreath.

But I could use the purple field and the gold Eastern Crown? I was considering putting them in estucheon between the combattant bears in chief.

I know Alethea is looking for advice, too.

I am working on this for another and Sir Kenric had some fantastic ideas. Drop him a line. If you don't know him, let me know and I'll ask him to send me a letter and I'll send it out to you (but I'm very busy and may take some time).

Gee, Your Majesty, I can't suppose why you'd be busy. ;-) Good luck and best wishes for your reign. You're in good hands.

I suppose a blue shark would be in the wrong vein? :-)

That really doesn't say "East" :-)

It does (largely) if you know Sharc.

Have it eat a tyger. :-)

Perhaps they can eat each other. :-)

It's bad enough that the OGR badge consists of a rapier impaling the nice tyger of the East when he wants to be friends. ;-)

Properly, if I do a full achievement of arms someday, I'll copy a 16th century crest that has a shark head eating a guy. I'll dress the guy in Midrealm red. ;-)

In a helpful vein, perhaps, a jambe de lion might work in azure.

(Stupid An Tir uses it in sable, but it's our freaking tyger. LOL)
