Definitely No Iron Bog

The father of a very good friend (non-SCAdian) of mine passed away last night. The memorial service and funeral is Saturday. I definitely will NOT be at Iron Bog this weekend as a result.

The friend in question is someone that Griffyn's known since junior high school (mid 1970s for them) and I've known since about 1980 or so. His father was elderly and hadn't been in the greatest of health for some time, so it isn't a shock. It's just a very unhappy thing.

Oh don't get me wrong - there was no question in our minds that we are dumping any other plans we had and going to the memorial service/funeral. Your good thoughts are much appreciated.

That's not what I meant.
Guess I should write anything until I have time to develop)
What I meant is that I understand that even if it's expected, it's sad and important nonetheless.
