Name That Christmas Tune, the finale
Dec. 24th, 2009 12:33 amWell, the clock says it's Christmas Eve, I plan to sleep in late tomorrow and then get wrapped up in family stuff, so here's your last tune of this year's Advent Extravaganza:
Glories stream from Heaven afar,
Heavenly Hosts sing Alleluia!
This tune is Silent Night
And, because I'm feeling ambitious, two more for extra credit:
(1) Let men their songs employ.
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
(2) Still through the cloven skies they come,
With peaceful wings unfurl
And still their heavenly music floats,
O'er all the weary world.
(1) Joy to the World
(2) It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
Happy Holidays everyone and thanks as always for indulging my indecent love of Christmas music of all kinds.
