They can make one for $50 that you have to replace in a year that they make $10 profit on, or they can make one for $100 that you have to replace in a decade that they make $20 profit on.
This is why all you can find any more is cheap breaks-in-a-year crap.
Mhmm. Our 20+ year old microwave is still working fine, only reason we've ever had new microwaves is because one came with the new house and I needed one for my dorm room. Doesn't seem like a profitable market unless you purposely sell junk.
