No Pennsic For Me
May. 2nd, 2006 04:03 pmThe case I'm working on has blown up big time. The deposition of one of the most important witnesses is scheduled for the week of August 14th. And thus, there is no Pennsic for me.
:-(
Edited to add: No, going out for the first week is not an option because the week before the deposition is when you prepare for taking the deposition.

Date: 2006-05-02 09:11 pm (UTC)I am sad.
You know, one of my quirkier Pennsic memories is Pennsic XXV, back before *everyone* had cell phones, and you had to do a conference with a judge on the top of the EK Royal Walls.

Date: 2006-05-02 10:13 pm (UTC)For what it is worth, it's a questionable thing for me as well. I have to talk to my boss in the next week. The move of our data center may not have finished by then, and it's one of the biggest projects and priorities for my department for the year. I guess I will know in a week or two, I sympathize though.

Date: 2006-05-03 02:04 pm (UTC)Oh we aren't even at the trial phase yet. This is still pre-trial discovery. We spent a year and a half reviewing over 1,000 boxes of documents and now we get to ask witnesses about the documents and anything else they might know. 68 witnesses in 6 months. It's not so much litigation as an endurance trial.
