WHERE by divers sundry old authentic histories and chronicles it is manifestly declared and expressed that the Kingdom of the East is an empire, and so hath been accepted in the world, governed by our King and his chosen Queen, both having the dignity and royal estate of the imperial crown of same, unto whom a body politic, compact of all sorts and degrees of people, be bounden and ought to bear a natural and humble obedience: the Crown being also institute and furnished with plenary, whole and entire power, pre-eminence, authority, prerogative and jurisdiction to render and yield justice, and final determination to all manner of folk, residents and subjects within this Their realm, in all causes, matters, debates and contentions happening to insurge, occur or begin within the limits thereof; and
WHEREAS the Crown, Their most noble progenitors, and the nobility and commons of this said realm, at divers and sundry parliaments, as well as in the time of King Konrad and Queen Brenwen, King Andreas and Queen Gabriella, King Darius and Queen Alethea, and other noble Oriental Crowns, made sundry ordinances, laws, statutes, and provisions for the entire and sure conservation or the prerogatives, liberties and pre-eminences of the said Crown of the East and of the jurisdiction temporal of the same;
IN CONSIDERATION whereof, We, Edward and Marguerite, King and Queen, do now exercise our solemn and singular authority as heretofore established for the right, just and laudable purpose of elevating to high estate a lady of sublime talents, Herculean energy, perfect good nature and marvelous and innumerable good works, that being our subject Alesone Gray of Cranlegh; and we do now and for all time elevate her station and Grant her the following Arms to be borne by the said Alesone alone: Quarterly gules and sable, on a bend sinister argent three fleurs-de-lys gules.
DONE in the Barony of Iron Bog, on the 5th day of June, being known in the common reckoning as Saint Boniface’s Day, A.S. XLV
