Yesterday's excessively hot Coronation saw several scrolls go out, all with texts by me.

Griffith Davion's Golden Rapier
Edward, King of the East, and Marguerite, our Queen: To our well-beloved and faithful advisors, the officers of our Realm, to the Barons and
Baronesses holding the lands in our name, and to each one of them in their own right, and in the extent of their powers and jurisdictions, Greetings.  We have, for many important reasons, not least of which being his remarked skill in matters of defence, and upon the advice of persons of good estate  and note, ordered, commissioned, and established that our servant Griffith Davion be and hereby is bestowed, endowed and invested with the style and insignia of a member of the Order of the Golden Rapier. We therefore command and order you that you act, each of you, in the extent of your powers, jurisdictions, and boundaries in our behalf; to ensure that the said Griffith is gifted with such sigils and signs as are befitting his new rank. Moreover, from our full power and royal authority we order and command you to have the present letters immediately published and read in all the public places of your powers and jurisdictions or where you will judge the need to be so that none of our said subjects may claim cause of ignorance, so that each one may obey and conform to this our will to do which we have given and do give you power, commission, and special command, since such is our pleasure. Given in the Barony of Iron Bog the 25th day of September in the 45th year of our Society, thus signed Edward; thus signed Marguerite.

Based on the Charter of Acadia Granted by Henry IV of France to Pierre du Gast, Sieur de Monts; December 18, 1603

Marguerite's County and Lady of the Rose:

Gryffith, King of the East, second of that name, and Aikaterine our Queen, to all good men of all our land, clergy and laymen, greeting. Know that we have given, granted, and by this our present charter have confirmed to our dear Marguerite inghean Lachlainn the style, rank, status and title of Countess. And for the special favour which we bear towards the said Marguerite we do further invest and endow her with the style of a Lady of the Rose in witness of which the said Marguerite shall henceforth and in perpetuity bear Arms by Letters Patent, to wit:

This aforesaid charter, gift and grant, in all its points and articles, conditions and methods and whatsoever circumstances, in and by all things, we approve, ratify and confirm, for ourselves and our successors and our heirs, by all the best means, form and effect, with the consent and deliberation of the three estates of our realm. In witness whereof we have ordered our great seal to be attached to our present charter of confirmation, and caused the said charter to be read aloud before the lord prelates, barons and commissioners of the burghs of our realm gathered therein, as is customary to be done in such cases. At the Barony of Iron Bog, on 25 September, in the 45th year of the Society.

Edward's County:

In parliamento excellentissimorum principium ac dominorum Nostrum metuendissimorum domini Griffithi et dominae Aikaterniae, regis et reginae Orientalum illustrissimorum, tento apud Paludem Ferreum, die Saturini, .xxv. Septembris, anno socieatatis .xvl., coram prefatis supremis dominis nostris regibus ibidem personaliter sedentibus.

Gryffith, King of the East, second of that name, and Aikaterine Our Queen, to all and sundry to whose notice our present letters may come, greetings. Whereas previously the Kingdom of the East and all its subjects were most generously, goodly and fairly ruled by Edward Grey of Lochleven, the said Edward having proven his right by force of arms according to the manner and custom of the realm; and whereas the said Edward has shown himself by word and deed to be possessed of prudence, equality of merit, discretion, good disposition, and innate good character; and whereas ancient right and custom as well as the Crown’s lofty honour and estate compel acknowledgment of the said Edward, we do therefore gift, invest and endow the said Edward with the style and title of Count. We do further promise and aver, in good faith and on the royal word, perpetually to have and hold all and sundry the above-written things firm, fixed and pleasing to us, and to fulfill and observe them, and not to speak or act to the contrary or allow contradiction by us, or by another or others, for any reason, right, method, cause or device, or any other question whatever, under colour of law or in fact, in or out of court. In witness whereof, we have affixed our signatures to the present charter.

Thank you. Awesome work on Griffith's OGR as always. I didn't get to see Violet's close up, but I assume it was equally awesome.
