Date: 2010-10-13 12:14 am (UTC)I'm sorry to report that if you want to register your name you're going to need to change it slightly. MacGordon requires "Gordon" to be a given name. However, Gordon was not used as a given name until well after period. The Scots surname Gordon existed in period, but it derived from a place name, not a personal name.
So you can be Heather Rose Gordon or Heather Rose of Gordon or Heather Rose de Gordun, but not MacGordon.
