""I Am Number Four" is shameless and unnecessary. That's sad, when a movie casts aside all shame, demonstrates itself willing to rip off anything that might attract audiences, and nevertheless fails."  (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110216/REVIEWS/110219991)

"At some point, a thriller has to play fair. We're not satisfied when characters find it necessary to come out of nowhere and explain to the hero the underlying reality of his situation to him. Why does he need to know? Just bump him off. Whenever I hear one of those Underlying Reality Speeches, I think there should be a crawl across the bottom of the screen: This is actually the voice of the screenwriter desperately trying to explain the plot to himself."  (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110216/REVIEWS/110219990)

This book was - well - sucks. :( It has interesting plot and could really have been something but it was really flat and unoriginal. It is obviously a first work. You can see the skill improving toward the end, but it wan't enough to save it fully. There is another one in the series coming out in August.

Plus by the movie promos. I am sorry, that is not a 15 year old boy I don't care how you play it out. And Tim Olympiant as a 53 year old, don't see that either.

Will it keep me from seeing the movie, probably not, but I know it won't be as good as it could have been. And like Twilight, I think they are dropping big plot points.

I think that review for "I Am Number Four" qualifies him as a national treasure and collectible weapon!
