Reading all of your entries about how much more time you need to get ready for Pennsic, and I think to myself: And you wonder why I say I can't possibly pull together a trek for two out to Pennsic at the last possible minute while also continuing to work 12+ hour days? Just sayin', is all.

Oh I've been procrastinating... a lot.
And I've found on Saturday afternoon somebody to get the main of my camping stuff to Pennsic but that meant being ready yesterday to drop it today after work.

So let's just say, boss, that your former cadet is doing very little prep before the 48 hours prior to his trip to Pennsic. I always crammed for exams, too...but unlike many, I don't sew, and blah blah blah.

And let's surmise, in this process, that he might have the time to assist you in whatever way he can to get the two of you out to war.

If I can help somehow, please let me know what I can do.

I could be ready to go in 2 evenings. I'd skip the stuff I am building, buy some food and basic supplies, and load the car the second night.

With a credit card, I could skip the supplies and load up at the event.

The sum of my Pennsic prep so far has been 8 loads of laundry and purchasing 3 energy bars.

But I'm far less concerned about prep than about my week and drive out there alone.

I have a new pennsic plan. It involves Powerball. :-)

Okay, you were right, you were right, you were right! There. You now have it in writing. (Laughs)

You haven't read mine. :)

But you can't be blamed for that. I haven't written it yet. But it's short.

all you really need is a tent, sleeping bag, clothes, and a chair...all else you can buy or borrow....if you get someone to help pack it shouldn't take you to long...and then you can spend a whole week lounging about sipping iced tea, talking with friends, telling stories, and having underlings fetch you food and anything else your heart should desire.

Currently covered in mold and out for cleaning.

All currently covered in mold and out for cleaning.

if you get someone to help pack

Bwah-hah-hah-hah-hah.

having underlings fetch you food and anything else your heart should desire.

I'm sorry, whose LJ do you think you're posting in? Clearly not mine.

I keep reading about this Pennsic prep and think to myself, what's wrong with us? Why aren't we getting ready?

It'll most likely kick into high gear next week. But I don't forsee a lot of prep this week.
