Yep, doing consulting and training all day.  Because I need more submissions in process on my desk.  Really.

P.S.  I really do love working with submitters and helping people get authentic names and heraldry.  But my popularity as a submissions herald is beginning to outpace my ability to keep up.

I'll be there outside of Curia time.
I might bring with me the submissions I'm supposed to send just so I don't forget :)

So I have this new name I want to use. it was told to me by a shaman who was reincarnated as a goose I saw on the road after a truck hit it, and it called to me. Its in some language I cannot pronounce. Can you help me get it passed?

Was your mother a Welsh princess kidnapped by pirates and sold in the harem of the Great Turk before being rescued by (and marrying) a samurai mohel?

Well the pirates did come via the new world...

That "Bite me" was said in the spirit of greatest love and affection, of course.

I thought it was lingua anglica for the name he was talking about.

Or does it have to be "me-bite" because of how it's formed in the original language? ;-)

Was is pre-or post the great language shift of the mid-12th century?
Or if it's just during the grey period, it would translate to me-bite-me, which really doesn't render well in English, but would make Court more interesting if the person is ever called.

Or, if it's Gaelic, it has to be "bhite mhe" because I'm female ;-)

Damn, it's a good thing we amuse ourselves. ;-)

Just think of all the happy campers you're helping develop their personas ... in period-appropriate ways. :) (And yes, have now submitted name and device. Whoohoo!)

I kid (mostly). I do love working with submitters, but I wish I had fewer of them right about now.

You need an assistant. Some up & coming herald who is a protege either to yourself or some other herald. Someone who needs book heraldry experience.

I am trying to train people as fast as I can. I worked with folks at Crown. Malcolm's girlfriend is very interested and I'll be working with her Saturday.

I was thinking more of someone who is already a protege that needs to be more well rounded.

Her protégée is round enough thankyouverymuch :)

My protogees and cadets already have enough to do. I clearly need more protogees. ;-)

You need minions.

My minions have this habit of getting themselves busy all by themselves. They do things like take Kingdom Offices, the rapscallions.

From the cave painter...

If you need assistance making heraldic stick figures for the aforesaid submissions, you know I'll be nearby after Curia.

You have more work than you can handle because you're so damn good at it. No good deed goes unpunished and all that.
