Phillip's CB Scroll
Dec. 4th, 2011 01:36 pmIn Dei nomine amen. Whereas, in the 46th year of the Society, the first year of the reign of King Gregor, third of that name, and Kiena, his queen, upon Saint Barbara’s Eve, being in the common reckoning the third day of December, there was summoned forward in person the noble man Phillip Reed, called by some the Facetious; and whereas publicly in the presence of our lord the King and lady the Queen and the three estates of the realm there were presented proofs that the aforesaid Phillip had well, faithfully, justly and rightfully served the Kingdom of the East as seneschal; therefore our sovereign lord and lady, by their singular and lawful royal authority as descended unto them by ancient law and custom, did invest and endow the aforesaid Phillip with the station, title and estate of a Baron of their Court and, in witness of this deed and against the passing of human memory and for the benefit of generations yet unborn, did further cause the present public instrument to be written and signed with their habitual and customary sign. So it is for all purposes by the present charter attested and affirmed that the above-written things were done, enacted and carried out in the Barony of Bhakail at about the fifth hour in the afternoon in the year, indiction, day, and month above stated.
