Summing Up
Feb. 17th, 2012 09:56 amSo . . . what have you gotten out of this week's discussion about trying to build a better A&S model?
Are there other related issues you'd like to talk about?

Date: 2012-02-17 07:34 pm (UTC)So I'm wondering; when a person decides they want to take up heavy fighting, step 1 is getting (or building) armor, which is neither easy nor cheap. How do they overcome this problem? Is it a less painful problem because they only have to do it once? (After that, improving the armor is more optional than required, although often highly recommended. :) Is there something here we can learn from the heavies?
On a different note, in my kingdom we are starting the A&S roadshows this summer. The basic premise is that the A&S Roadshow is hosted at events as one of the day's scheduled doohickeys. In the roadshow, artisans show up, show off their pretties, and discuss what they're doing with Laurels, Lamps (GoA level award) and other clueful peoples. No documentation required, no pressure, but a way to get some recognition for the work artisans do. (And dammit, I can't make it to either event. Argh!) I am looking forward to seeing how well this works.

Yet. That your proposal to have some guidelines I think will actually help those for whom the process is mystifying.
That the problem is not a simple one as different people are frustrated for different reasons, myself definitely included.
That the maunche discussion still annoys the blue bloody hell out of me.
