Because I had to travel to Quebec City this weekend with TRMs, I did not get the chance to post the first two days of Christmas tunes.   So here are three days in one:

(1)  For every year the Christmas tree,
Brings to us all both joy and glee.

(2)  In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with Mister Snowman
Until the other kiddies knock him down

(3)  Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultation;
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!

And the answers are:
(1)  O Christmas Tree
(2)  Winter Wonderland
(3) O Come All Ye Faithful

2) Let It Snow Let It Snow Let it Snow!

3) In Excelsis Deo (and my years in the youth choir means I cannot help but statrt hearing the descant, which I have NEVER been able to reach, what with my alto- 2nd alto range)

2 - Winter Wonderland
3 - O Come All Ye Faithful (which was the source of some Latin geekery yesterday which proved that I should not attempt Latin immediately upon waking...)

I am heroically resisting the urge to Google #1... ;)

I should not attempt to guess things before I have finished my coffee. But the descant comment still hold on both songs.

Hint: there is a clue to the title in the selected lyrics.

Is it really "O Christmas Tree"? No wonder I like it better in German. ;)

While highly unlikely, 2 reminds me of "Let's build a snowman!" from Cannibal! The Musical! ;)

Note: this will probably be the only one of these I respond to, because I only know the most overplayed, hackneyed christmas junk out there.

1. I think number 1 is O Christmas Tree.

2. Walking in a Winter Wonderland (also known as Let it Snow) or as I think of it Walken (as in Christopher) in a Winter Wonderland.

3. Oh Come All Ye Faithful.

Yay for Christmas tunes. It makes my little black heart sing. :-)
