Scroll Texts: the Grand Master Bowman
Jan. 6th, 2013 03:17 pmTo all persons to whom these present letters come, greetings. Since the discovery of letters is acknowledged for the record of this transitory age to be remembered, it has seemed to kings that their gifts should be noted in advance in writing in order that the meritorious decree of individuals may shine amongst their successors. Therefore We, Edward the King and Thyra the Queen, enthroned on the inviolable royal seat of the kingdom of whole of these Eastern lands through the favour of the All-Accomplishing One, do hereby bestow upon Thorlaeifr hvitskegg the status of a Grand Master Bowman, to have and hold and enjoy the said title with all its appurtenances in perpetuity. May it be granted that no-one be permitted to set aside this gift unless he should count on being cursed at the very least. This was executed in the forty-seventh year of the Society, in the very first year of our reign, in Iron Bog, upon 5 January.
