Forasmuch as the creation of beauty from the dross of ignoble earth,
bringing to this earthly sphere a reflection of the transcendent
glories of the Heavens, is a deed much to be praised; and forasmuch as
our subject Xandra Rozina Xiberras Galea has demonstrated this skill
in the fullest of measures, to the great delight of our eyes and
hearts, and to the greater glory of our Realm; therefore of our
especial grace, certain science, and mere motion We, Edward Rex and
Thyra Regina, lawful inheritors of the Tyger Throne, descended in
unbroken line from Maragorn and Adrienne, by these presents for us,
our heirs and successors, do endow the said Xandra with the Order of
the Pelican and all appurtenances thereof. And further, we do by
these presents for us, our heirs and successors, give and grant to our
trusty and well-beloved Xandra the right to bear Arms by letters
patent, with all liberties, powers and privileges appertaining
thereto. In witness whereof, we have caused these our letters to be
made and strengthened with the character of our signatures at
Dragonship Haven on the 16th day of February, in the forty-seventh
year of the Society.
