Writ for a Pelican
Apr. 30th, 2013 02:56 pmNow that I know it went out, I can post this:
Gregor the King and Kiena the Queen, to Alethea Eastriding, greetings and every good thing. The favor of your excellence is neither new nor doubtful; always habitual, always exhibited, it does not admit of diminution or interruption. And therefore, for the love we bear you and for your devoted service, we do now will, ordain and firmly command you to present yourself before our Court at Northern Region
War Camp in the Shire of Glen Linn, upon the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, there to answer the question of whether you will accept induction into the Order of the Pelican; and no excuses against your presence at the date and place aforesaid shall be countenanced. That this our command shall remain firm and unquestioned, we have commended it to writing and strengthened it with the authority of our seal and the writing of our names. Done 27 April in the forty-seventh year of the Society.
