Advent follies, day 5
Dec. 6th, 2006 01:11 amOk, so I'm really early for the day's Christmas carol. That's because I'm likely pulling an all-nighter for work. Lucky, lucky, lucky me.
First, the relatively well-known carol:
Born a King on Bethlehem plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever,
Ceasing never
Over us all to reign.
Now, the obscure one for extra credit:
E'en so here below, below
Let steeple bells be swungen
And i-o, i-o, i-o
By priest and people be sungen
Gloria, Hosanna in excelsis
no subject

"We three kings of Orient are"
When I sang in the Methodist Youth Choir, they made us sing all the verses.

I vaguely remember singing that in church.
